#NationalGardenMonth | April is “National Garden Month,” where individuals, families, and communities celebrate the joys and benefits of gardening. These benefits can range from encouraging healthy eating, reducing stress, or, in the case of World War I and II, helping the war effort. This photo of Carl and Thelma Netscher shows the couple checking on their Victory Garden during World War II. The garden was located in Manheim Township’s Grandview Heights between Janet Avenue and Pleasure Road. (📸 LancasterHistory) ... See MoreSee Less
